David Gtronic returns to the third part of the 'Seclusion' album. On this one, David teams up with Birdsmakingmachine, Kirik, Bearface and Lulla for four certified essential dancefloor jams. The EP opens with the OG Mix of 'Rathaus' with Kirik, where skipping drums and short synths, flourish together in a lively composition. Up next 'Cheech' with Bearface digs deep with full analogue power, followed by a breakbeat interpretation by Birdsmakingmachine offering a more romantic minimal touch. Rounding out the EP, 'Desolee' sees David collaborating with fellow Miami-based talent Lulla for a lovely tight minimal number.

There are many techno producers whose works are devoid of the subtleties that would suggest a wider musical competency and understanding. Then there are those whose grooves are infused with painstakingly produced little details and a sense of wonderment that reaches beyond mere dancefloor functionality. Whether he’s producing thumping techno or downtempo chillout, David Gtronic’s sense of musicality always shines through.

Known for his bass driven, percussive sound but it’s those obscured flourishes of organic elements that colour his sound which really set him apart from the pack. He’s released on labels such as Vatos Locos, Suara, Monique Musique, Kina Music, and Chelsea Hotel Records to name a few.

We welcome Jamie Lie a Kwie and Lauren Lo Sung, the newest members of Vatos Locos.

Rotterdam raised Jamie is a real master of the groove, his selection of hypnotising house, minimal and deep techno is a force to be reckoned with.

Liverpool native Lauren is known for her dub techno sound entwined with grooves, breaks and impeccable basslines.

London had a lot to do with Hector Morillo’s break in music. After moving from Mexico to the capital he landed a job at Phonica Records, where getting to know Loco Dice and Anja Schneider helped him land releases on mobilee and Desolat. He was also a part of the famous T-Bar venue during Shoreditch’s early-2000s heyday, frequently playing alongside guys like Jamie Jones before they’d broken through. 

T-Bar has long since vanished from East London’s party circuit, and Hector’s profile now extends far beyond the capital too. A big part of this success has been Vatos Locos, the party and record label he runs from his Berlin home base. 

This summer he brought the party across Europe, including a residency at one of Ibiza’s most revered small venues, Underground. Hector also lands in Farringdon alongside key crew members Chad Andrew, David Gtronic and Randall M on 13th October, so we asked Hector for a mix and interview ahead of their appearance.
