Because of Art returns to Anjunadeep with his second solo release on the label, ‘Azure EP’.

Having collaborated with Jody Wisternoff and James Grant once before on previous EP title track ‘Free’, the trio team up again on ‘HRSN’. The track is a blend of warm piano, lush pads and a smooth breakbeat, tied together with vocals from Ayah Marar, a multi-platinum singer/songwriter. Also on the EP, ‘Azure’ and ‘Ranger’ showcase Because of Art’s affinity for catchy, inviting deep house.

Having played sets at iconic London venue The Steel Yard late last year supporting Simon Doty and more recently alongside Tommy Farrow at his concept show in Brixton, Because of Art takes to the sunny shores of Albania for Anjunadeep Explorations in June. The London-based producer has received regular support from SiriusXM Chill and BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard and Sarah Story, and within the last year has collaborated with Sasha, as well as remixing Sophie Ellis Bextor and Robbie Williams.

This is a challenging time for everyone but I want to try to focus on the positives. Regardless of race, gender or age we are all being impacted by this Pandemic. Perhaps it can be a time where we break down some barriers and work together on a higher level to overcome this hardship. 

I think it is our job as musicians to keep making music and attempt to provide hope and positivity. One song can completely change a person’s outlook on life and we need that more than ever now. 

I will be doing lots of streaming over the next few weeks, both of studio sessions and of djing but today I will be giving away two of the remixes I did over this past year as free downloads.
