Hot on the heels of his studio companion who’s just graced us with a treat of a mix last week, here comes Lisbon-based producer and fellow Hayes Collective member Cravo with a couple hours of hard-churning, Birmingham-infused dynamics. 2021 has been the year of breakthrough for the young Portuguese artist, reeling off three choice releases on Ben Klock’s Klockworks, SK_Eleven and New Rhythmic within a few months time, and 2022 shall see him converting the try in compelling manner. His RYC delivery sure lives up to the hype surrounding his name, so make sure you lock in and buckle up for an epic showdown of muscular grooves.

Taking over the show this week, elusive German producer and Vault Sessions / BCCO resident DJ Phil Berg pulls out the big guns and vibes-avalanching blends for what can be called a proper feast in sound. Drum-fuelled tribal grooves, rugged early house manoeuvres, possessed machine funk, Berg runs the hoodoo down like a thrill-deprived stuntman, eager to pack the world’s whole field of energies in just two hours of music. The result is no short of breath-taking, sharp as a knife and well, exhaustingly gratifying.

Airod & Farrago - Awakenings Spring Festival 2023

Ribé, the alias of Alberto Pascual, is invited for our 182th podcast. He started his musical journey in 1998 at the age of 14 when he started creating his first mixes using tape decks. A first big breakthrough happened when he first published his EP on Richie Hawtin's label Plus 8, which brought momentum to his career. His musical project took a new turn when he started exploring modular synthesis, releasing music on PoleGroup, and later, on Klockworks and Axis. Now Ribé often plays live sets using his modular synths.
This podcast is a mix of uncompromising sounds, ranging from industrial to more hypnotic textures over thick rolling basslines.

Born and raised in Thessaloniki, Greece, Annē began her music career in 2012 and has since emerged as a rising talent in the world of techno. Fully committed to her craft as both a DJ and producer, she transitioned from being a passionate raver to a driving force in her country’s techno scene, delivering a uniquely experiential approach to music.

Annē’s DJ sets are high-energy and dynamic, crafted to create seamless connections with her audience. In her productions, she draws inspiration from Detroit techno and the sounds of the ’90s and early 00s, channeling her emotions into tracks that resonate deeply.

Her music has earned widespread acclaim, with standout releases on renowned labels such as Hardgroove, Symbolism, Mutual Rytm, NECHTO, CROWD, Soma Records, and Out of Place. These releases have garnered significant support from major artists, with her tracks frequently charted and played across the global techno scene.

Annē’s talent has taken her to some of the world’s most iconic clubs and events, including Berghain, Bassiani, RSO Berlin, Radion, Fuse, Fold, E1, Exhale etc. She has toured extensively across continents, performing in South America, Africa, Australia,Asia and beyond. With exciting collaborations and multiple vinyl releases planned for the near future, her trajectory continues to ascend.

Her latest record on FJAAK's label, CROWD/SPANDAU20, is making waves on dance floors, marking a significant step forward in her career. Many more releases and new collaborations are coming in the near future.

For Annē, the DJ’s role is deeply intertwined with the audience. She believes the dancer is an integral part of the musical experience, with both performer and listener contributing equally to the atmosphere. This philosophy keeps her grounded—one foot always on the dance floor, the other in the booth.
