The debut release on Carícia Records sees longtime collaborators VIL and CRAVO refine the language they’ve developed through years of joint work, both individually and as members of the Hayes collective. Between them, their output on labels like Monnom Black, Klockworks, Self Reflektion and the aforementioned Hayes collective has consistently balanced precision with character, and this first chapter under their new imprint is no exception. Opening with SO RIGHT, the record sets a distinct tone, with rolling percussion and a hypnotic vocal line threading through the mix with restraint and control. 420%FODA leans into classic swing and texture, tightly looped and built for movement without ever overreaching. On the B-side, CRAVO oﬀers FUTUREDETROIT, a stripped-back piece with room to breathe, subtle in its shifts but firm in its intent. VIL rounds oﬀ the EP with HARD TO FIND, a playful closer that keeps things buoyant and dynamic, pushing forward without losing its shape. Carícia 001 is about clarity of purpose. FACTION introduces its label with a distinct four-track compilation that reflects the spectrum of its sound and vision. Pierce opens the release with a tightly-coiled weapon, clean, metallic, and surgically arranged for maximum drive. Uväll follows with a track that keeps the momentum but adds a sense of motion and complexity. Architect shifts the mood with a more spacious construction, subtle details float across a rolling low-end. Gwän closes the release with a refined cut that leans into atmosphere, soft layers and fluid movement. FACT001 — four solo works, each carrying its own identity, together marking the beginning of a new chapter

Patch Notes:

Momentary mute groups using the AXON-2 A and B Buttons as Cross Op sources on Pamela’s PRO Workout. 

Starting with a full track sequenced by the Pam PRO, the A and B buttons of the AXON-2 are set to function as two Cross Operation sources from Pam’s BPM menu. The Cross Ops for each of the four outputs triggering the drums are then set to ‘Subtract’ with the sources set to either Axon A or Axon B depending on the desired ‘Mute Group’. When pressed, each of the Axon buttons produces a gate which subtracts from the gates sequenced at the outputs, causing them to mute momentarily until the Axon button is released.
