Holden’s first SK_X release has been one worth waiting for. The New Yorker blends a mix of hard brutal percussive drive and powerful kick drums with his beautifully written melodies which stem from his background in classical music. Throughout the EP Holden’s musical background is ever dominant–vibrant synth lines provide a sense of body and feeling in the music, while straight techno rhythms keep the dance floor happy and the feet moving. 
As well as producing and DJing, Holden’s passion lies firmly in digging records. Through finding hidden 90s gems, his Instagram page has become very popular amongst a lot of heads in the scene.

After releasing five sold out various artists EP’s featuring 25 artists, positivesource is excited to present a new chapter for the label with a diverse and anthemic EP from Berlin based producer Regent.

No stranger to the label, Regent contributed to src005 last year with his smooth techno roller ‘Off Agenda’ alongside music from Neri J, Alpha Tracks, Vil & Cravo. His tracks have featured heavily in DJ sets by label founders Blue Hour and Philippa Pacho over the years, naturally the idea to present the first artist EP on positivesource with Regent comes as no surprise. The record starts on a hypnotic tip with ‘Occult’, grooving along with an infectious bass-line swung beats and blissed out atmospherics before stepping up the energy levels on ‘Khmera’, a relentless chord driven percussive anthem with nostalgic vocals rising to new heights. On the flip the title track ‘Aphid Riot’ is bold and vibrant leaning heavily into UK flavours using sliced up vocals, breakbeats and a classic ‘Reece’ bass-line. Completing the record is a ‘broken’ version of ‘Aphid Riot’ highlighting an ethereal tonal melody with a deeper and more introspective take on the original. It’s a new sound exploration from the producer, demonstrating his versatility and perhaps a rare moment in his discography.

Fast rising techno star, ANNĒ, returns to Soma with another astounding release - the Moon Lander EP. Marking her 3rd full release with the label, ANNĒ once again delves into deep,
grooving techno with her now signature sound design. Title track Moon Lander opens with a serious intent. Playful stabs glides across carefully constructed percussive elements that keep the pace fast and sharp. Fieldstone hits with a more hypnotic, space like vibe but still retains ANNĒ’s unique drive. More clinical sound design is at the forefront of St. Strings with expertly controlled drums driving the rhythm as slowly evolving atmospheres and stabs deliver the attitude. The more jacking Rootstock is up next, pushing hard on the 909 workouts against dubbed out synths and trippy, intense synths elements. *bandcamp exclusive Magnets closes out the release with a more dirty, and abrasive sound.

Moscow's Monasterio resident Stef Mendesidis has once again been tapped by techno superstar Ben Klock to concoct a crucial techno EP for his Klockworks imprint. The four distinctive cuts that appear on the release have become essential peak-time ingredients in the label head's DJ sets.

Ahead of the 'Klockworks 26' release date on August 16, Mendesidis has handed over the swirling and disorienting cut 'Celesta 33' to Mixmag for a premiere.
