Beste Hira is an adventurous, strong willed and motivated person now based in Amsterdam with Istanbul as hometown. These aspects have brought her to the position she stands as an artist today. Music has been a lifelong priority. She started at the Mersin Fine Arts High School Music Department where she studied classical piano and cello. She continued her professional music career at Ondokuz Mayıs University where she has successfully graduated from the Department of Music.

Her career as a dj/producer started soon after and is why she decided to move to Amsterdam. She favors the ethnic, groovy and dark side of techno that drives you through the night. Her broad education of music can be heard in her music productions where she meticulously experiments withs sounds to produce her signature sound. In her performances she has a determined mindset to create a complete sensory experience

Trading out hi-velocity wares all set at cranking up the room’s heat two notches up, the Amsterdam-based producer champions a sound fully geared towards shaking dance floors upside-down with its implacable mix of flaring uptempo drives, sleek programming and crisp sound design. Punching in our series with a double hour workout spanning the breadth of his arsenal, from heavy-duty dubs to true-school modular destroyers, TWR72 has us surfing a tsunami of paced-up face-melters and zero-G acrobatics that won’t let loose on you until your batteries have run dry for good. MARRØN, known for his rhythmic sound driven by his roots, has curated a hypnotizing mix exclusively for Float Records. The mix is released as a limited mix CD containing 31 unreleased tracks by up and coming talents and established artists from the techno landscape. Next to the CD, all tracks are released separately as a VA.  

A word from MARRØN: When I was approached to do a cd mix for Float Records with my complete input from a dj perspective, I was nothing but honored and motivated to create something special. I’ve selectively chosen producers who I feel musically connected to and those who could use a push in their young careers. It’s important for me to be able to give back to the scene as much as it gives me. 

This mix and all the tracks selected are mainly focused on the key elements I wish for in techno, which is having a locked in groove and rhythm throughout the whole duration of time. Pushing for detailed minimalism and pace that keeps you in a driving energetic mood. Punchy variated low ends but never too heavy, a mix that brings the club dancefloor to wherever you are listening to it.

Razmik Makhsudyan, born in Yerevan, began exploring techno in 2010. After honing his skills as a DJ, he took his first steps as a producer and, in 2016, launched his live alias, Tøtal, showcasing the heavier, darker side of techno. In 2017, he founded his own label, Death Bell Records, and by 2019, he brought his sound to Boiler Room Yerevan, sharing his music with a wider audience.

This mix captures the atmosphere he loves, featuring several of his own unreleased tracks—ones you’re sure to enjoy.
