Canadian/British, Berlin based DJ, producer and label-head Tommy Lewis has been making waves around the globe with his unique sound. Tommy Lewis’ mixing and production style is characterised by groovy and up-tempo rhythms, both hypnotic and upbeat rhythmic. Lewis is the co-founder and label manager of PHTM, a label and collective established in 2019, centered around pushing the boundaries of driving and hypnotic Techno. Tommy Lewis has made a name for himself on an international scale, having toured extensively across North America and Europe. 

Tommy Lewis’ productions comprise raw, minimal textures and percussive elements, with a timeless sound crafted perfectly for the dancefloor. This mix begins with an experimental selection at a slow and steady pace and builds with a crescendo, increasing tempo and intensity and seamlessly transitioning in to dark, hypnotic rhythms.

Decoder has been unstoppable over the past few years, delivering a steady run of high-quality releases that have made a strong mark on the techno scene.

His sound carries an organic essence—original, timeless, and entirely his own—defined by a rare mastery of simplicity and restraint, always recognizable yet constantly evolving, speaking in its own language.

After years of refining his sound, Decoder presents “Prakasa”, an album that explores the emotional and expressive side of his soundscape. Its subtle shifts and surprising moments create space for the listener to get lost, to imagine, and to find something unexpected in every track.

The album takes its name from the Sanskrit word meaning “light” and “manifestation,” a concept reflected clearly in the cover artwork and central to Decoder’s vision. Planet X is honored to release such a powerful yet delicate album—one that feels equally at home in intimate listening settings as it does in clubs and festivals worldwide.

Prakasa will be released on February 20 and features 20 tracks, available digitally and on vinyl, including a beautifully pressed colored vinyl edition.

Technokunst Records returns for a second chapter in the Split Series, pairing long-time friends
Reeko and Claudio PRC for a package of highly effective grainy Techno excursions. This
meeting is a perfectly weighted exchange with two originals and two reinterpretations shared
between them.
The opener ‘Grainphase’ is a slowly morphing textural work building towards a masterfully
executed release of energy in the latter half of the track. Reeko’s version reshapes the main
elements and reveals a harder spine beneath the original’s fluid architecture. Flipping the
record gives way to Reeko’s original, a tour de force in sound design. ‘Tierra De Nadie’ paints a
desolate and hazy surface filled with glitched recordings of alien language. Finally, Claudio’s
rework is built in a similarly dark tone but with an increase of visibility, drifting aboveground.

Split Series 02 | Reeko & Claudio PRC | Technokunst Records (TKST002)

Electronic music pioneer Mijk van Dijk revisits a cult underground moment with the release of Pneu, produced under his Toneking alias. Reflecting on the track’s journey, van Dijk explains:
“I was completely surprised when I learned that a minimalist underground track I'd made under a pseudonym, just to try something completely different from the ‘Mijk van Dijk sound,’ had suddenly become so popular, especially in the Benelux countries, that a Belgian label licensed it in 2000 and commissioned remixes. I've always loved the Housetrap remix in particular, which is why it's featured here as the lead track.”

This new edition of Pneu brings together the original version alongside a carefully curated selection of remixes that capture the raw, forward-thinking energy of early 2000s European techno and house. The release includes reworks from Housetrap, Insider, Marco Bailey vs. Redhead and Zzino vs. Accelerator, each offering a distinct perspective while preserving the track’s minimalist core.
