The collective hosts events at Station Gare des Mines, a rehabilitated industrial wasteland and former railway station, to provide a safer space for minority communities, where freedom of expression is lived in all thinkable forms. Through its lineups and podcasts channel, Spectrum highlights emerging French and international DJs and producers. Feels just like we found our lost identical french twin :)

NDRX is an Georgian electronic music activist and resident Dj at the club Bassiani. He has become inseparable part of this scene for more than 15 years. 

During the last couple of years, Ndrx took part and played at festivals and clubs like Exit Festival in Serbia, Sonar festival in Barcelona, CTM festival in Berlin, Robert Johnson in Frankfurt , Berghain, Basement in NY, Queer space Kremwerk in Seattle, ODD in Brazil, Fastforward – Copenhagen, the queer night of Spielraum and Herrrensauna in Amsterdam and Berlin.

Back to the UK for the latest podcast episode: Manchester-based DJ Yant might be a relative newcomer but his name is starting to do some serious rounds. His full-on bass assaults have garnered attention from techno top brass like Setaoc Mass and Ben Sims, making 2022 a year which might just prove his zero hour. His productions are gaining momentum too, and a freshly launched party series titled Refocus promises to breathe new life into his chosen neck of the woods. For the latter, he himself plays and encourages longer set-times, with the aim of promoting more daring, less obvious track selections and pushing forward his thundering big-room sound. Just a heads up: these burgeoning beats are resonant, sweaty and thrilling; Bassiani Podcast 157 is raw, ferocious techno from this fledgling British heavyweight.

@boris is kind of a charismatic, multifunctional weapon in the Berlin club life. His musical roots reach back to the mid 80s, when he lived in New York for four years where he absorbed the unique spirit of the seminal club Paradise Garage weekend after weekend. From the Club’s mentor Larry Levan Boris learned to believe in his musical intuition as well as a broad musical spectrum, which nowadays ranges from Disco, Hi-NRG, Post-Punk and (Kraut-) Rock to House and Techno, all of which Boris loves to throw into one set. “Music was most important for Levan. He was uncompromising and he knew how to convey it. That’s what I’m trying to achieve, too, when I’m djing.”

Many years later, Boris became a resident at Panorama Bar’s first incarnation in Berlin, where he was able to build a loyal following by playing long sets lasting until noon. “The crowd is always a lot more receptive for music at the end than at the beginning. That’s when I rather have the opportunity to present unusual stuff and that’s when I’m able to let my feelings run freely.”

After the old OstGut/Panorama Bar closed in 2003, Boris played in almost every club in Berlin, but when the follow up club Berghain opened its doors in 2004, he quickly focused on playing out here again. From 2005 till 2010 he had another musical platform, as he was taking care of the label Careless Records as an A&R. As a DJ, he is not exactly keen on refining a certain genre, but rather to push music with a certain twist.
