Dance TV is proud to present DJ MIX #604 with the Berlin based DJ, producer and Tangible Assets label owner- Stojche. His Skopje origins, a Macedonian city described by Derrick May and Juan Atkins as “the leading hub for Detroit techno on the Balkan Peninsula” and insatiable passion for vinyl records has led him to spending years behind the turntables, resulting in pulsing journeys with emotional content pursuing the futuristic music phenomenon of techno. His discography has established him as one of the pioneers still pushing forward the timeless envelope of the initial "hi-tech soul" legacy.

Stojche Cvetanovski (born in 1984 in Skopje, Macedonia) is just a regular rebel trapped in the urban chaos of the 21st century. The trigger factor that inspired him, was the local underground techno scene in Skopje. A city described by Derrick May and Juan Atkins as “the leading hub for Detroit techno on the Balkan Peninsula”. The expansion of the motor city sounds in the Macedonian capital and his mania for vinyl records triggered Stojche to explore his path and dig deeper in this futuristic music phenomenon. After a decade devoted to djing, he shifted to producing, and in 2009 he co-founded “Argumento Music”.

He is one of the names on the European circuit that broke through with contributions to labels like A.r.t.less, DMK, Conform, Subwax, Grounded in Humanity, Sounds Benefit, Freund Der Familie alongside others. In 2011 he launched his solo imprint “Tangible Assets”. An outlet that has given him the freedom to explore and refine his trademark Detroit – influenced dubbed out productions. “Tangible Assets” reflects a personal statement with emphasized appreciation for the techno history. His discography marked him as one of the names that is still pushing forward the timeless envelope of the initial “hi-tech soul” legacy.

In contrast, his dj sets provide further evidence of years spent behind the turntables, resulting in pounding journeys with a dose of emotional content. His constant pursuit for inspiration sits balanced with the pulse of the city life. Locked away in his studio in Berlin where passion and process all catalyze into waveforms of intense voyages, executed by a man who is well in tune with his craft.

Back in the series with a special hour-and-a-half-long live set, fellow RYC alum Arthur Robert graces us with a mix that best exemplifies his cosmonautical approach to production, flush with alien-engineered sounds and sci-fi-indebted atmospheres. Like traversing a dynamic hall of mirrors and prisms, distorting our cognitive scope to hypnotic effect, Robert’s mix is a maze of fast swiveling grooves and bubbling, modular-like reflections. The energy of the room got me hooked and locked in the zone as few times before.

When I found out that my friend @jason.etal had recorded almost the whole set in his phone, I couldn’t resist and I decided to include the voices and everything was happening live (in the background) as part of the recording - the raw vibe of the room.

Shoutout to @voicedrone , @jamesnewmarch , all the artists of the night, the UNFOLD crew for making it happen and of course all of you who made it so special!

The Visitors EP is a transcendent tour of Flour’s auditory cosmos and fascinating inner world, essential for all lovers of hard techno’s trancier moments, it finds itself perfectly at home in EXHALE’s cutting edge catalogue.

Kicking off the EP, which he describes as ‘a four-track journey exploring identity and transformation’ is the darkly beguiling ‘Mystery Land’, where pummeling kicks and trancey pads take us into hyperspace as we are drawn into ‘the discovery of an unknown dimension’. On title track ‘Visitors’ we go deeper still as Flour invites us to ‘encounter one’s own alter ego’: driving rhythms are offset with haunting operatic vocals, intense building synths and a broodingly urgent break building tension as a voice warns of ‘system failure’. Powerful peaktime gear. Next up is single ‘The World Beyond’, a transcendent fusion of hard techno and psytrance for the depth of the rave. Melodic beeps over a fiercely propulsive kick erupt into squelchy acid textures and we are catapulted into the dark mystery beyond. Dancefloors from Berlin to Napoli will go hard for this one. The closing chapter of this epic sonic journey is delivered by ‘Eternals’, ‘a timeless, introspective echo’ that invites us to consider the ‘other side’ as a limitless space within. Trancey and pumping, haunting vocal samples and pads give the track an ethereal edge, while the constancy of the kick keeps our feet on the ground (and moving).
