Throat Singing, Shaman Ritual Dance / 18:27 / 16.08.31 / Theatre Tumen Ekh, Chinggis Avenue / Tuvan throat singing is another custom of Mongolia on UNESCO’s intangible heritage list, and is technically related to Tibetan Buddhist chant / The sound can carry over a great distance on the steppes / This performer at the Tumen Ekh Theatre is a master of several instruments, including the mouth harp which he plays as part of this song, but his throat singing skill is truly extraordinary / Mimicry of the sounds of nature is part of the spiritual history of Central Asia and of Shamanism / The performer of the dance which follows the throat singing was dressed in bells and horns, evoking ancient shamans who used musical instruments in the performance of their rites //

"散步" is a recording project during 2018 - 2019, in which I walked around in different cities and fields with my inductors, recording mind and sound fragments around me.
This track was recorded during residency in Shiraoi, Hokkaido, Japan hosted by Lijiang Studio with the fund of ACC. 
This track was recorded on 靜川遺跡, a ruin of Jomon Culture which now are surrounded by high-voltage towers. My son cried during my recording (as shown in the cover), which gives the place a little vitality.
