A rhythm on the tongue drum became into this evolving piece of film music. Picture this: A higher order species is letting out its last breath while life itself flashes before its eyes.

Species

A jazzy lullaby. I found this beautiful poem called 'The Pleasant Dark' by Annette Wynne, and stitched it with something I was improvising one morning.  I then immediately felt like having a nap. 

The pleasant dark that comes at night
Is just as friendly as the light,
Dark wraps a curtain over all—
The trees, the houses, far and tall;
The pleasant dark comes down to bless
The world with mother-tenderness.
She folds her children in her arms
And keeps them safe from loud alarms;
The far green hills where children play

Tarot

An idea that I'm working on the Rhodes. Composing a piece in classical style on an electric piano gives it a very different feel, both in terms of playing style (automatically sounds jazzy) and in terms of sound - it brings out those undertones and harmonics. 

I'll upload a full version of this once it's finished, but hope you like what I've got so far :)

Found this buried in my hard drive, with the name 'Space exploration'. A synth buildup and release with a sense of hope and wonder. Can't find the original project, but I do remember using my Roland Juno D sounds for the synths, which sound great. Enjoy :)

Space Exploration

This is a track that originated as part of a jam in London late 2019. I made this loop and we jammed over it with prog guitar, violin, drums and rhode. 

Now listening to it again it created a very interesting vibe with the plucky rhythm and textures, the bass sounding like almost like morse code signals being sent, and the whole soundscape reminds me of sneaking into a private futuristic physics laboratory, where ethics and research methods are questionable...

The Lab

An evening improvisation turned into this fun, evolving track, featuring a synth lead solo. A mix of minimalism, funk, acid jazz, and more. Influenced by the liked of Snarky Puppy, GoGo Penguin. Hope you enjoy :)
