VBIV is the project of producer/guitarist Victor Buell IV from Milwaukee, WI. 

Hypnotic guitars, hazy synth pads, drum machine classics, sun-damaged vocals, and slow-rolling compositions are some adjectives you’ll discover on his debut EP, ‘Control.’ He strikes a balance as a rock guitarist inspired by the nuances of jazz, finger style and the psychedelic 60‘s, and as producer inspired by techniques of trip hop and electronic. 

There is nothing cut-and-dry about ‘Control,’ sonically or compositionally. Warm acoustics and tasteful reverb are blended into serene compositions that evolve in dark pools of digital soup. Fully formed; yet not fully aware. It makes you wonder if he was still half asleep or pining of nostalgic melancholy during the writing process.
