Music of Ancient Eurasian Grassland 

   The Magic Spirit of the Huns is here with us again! The VÁGTÁZÓ CSODASZARVAS debuted in 2005 revitalizing the natural, cathartic and shamanistic folk music of the ancient Eurasia, along the vast steppe. Atilla Grandpierre, founder of the ensemble, became the worldwide icon of Hungarian alternative music in his other group Vágtázó Halottkémek (abbr. VHK, cca. Galloping Coroners; now Vágtázó Életerő), which had acquired its reputation as the best shaman-punk band ever, and became the favorite group of such world-famous musicians like Iggy Pop, Jello Biafra and Henry Rollins. 
   In VÁGTÁZÓ CSODASZARVAS, Atilla invited some of the best Hungarian folk virtuosos. The distinguishing properties of the band are natural ease, cosmic spirit and vitalizing energy.

   'Pure Spring', the first album of VÁGTÁZÓ CSODASZARVAS became No.1 on the list of the best records of 2006 in Hungary voted by musical journals. It showed up in the Top-20 of the Hungarian best-selling albums, and it reached a Gold Status in the category of world music.
   'Infinite Asia!', their second album (2008) was reviewed as the best world music album of the year, as well as one of the best folk albums of all time, and as a worthy continuation of the work of Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály. This second CD showed up among the Top-10 of Hungarian best-selling records, and also reached a Gold Status.
   ’Star Ride’, their third album is released in 2011. This is perhaps the most extraordinary music of this group: shamanic elementary power, completed with a psychedelic spell.
