The Vanguard Development Project, or VDP for short, is a music collective consisting of young songwriters, producers, singers and MC's. We focus on helping young people discover and refine their musical talent, with heavy emphasis placed on both artistic and personal development. With an extensive network of supporters and contributors in both the educational and entertainment sectors, we are able to give aspiring artists access to professional opportunities for growth.

 

Founded in 2013 and based in New York City, VDP has performed nationally at various festivals, conferences and venues. Our past performances include: the Whitney Museum re-opening, Global Action Project, GAP Foundation, Hilton Foundation, NYC Figment Festival, Berklee City Music Summit, Truth Be Told Film Festival, and the NYC Pride Parade. As a songwriting collective, our music has secured placements on network television, documentaries, films and online content for various companies.
