Explosions in the Sky es un grupo instrumental post-rock estadounidense, proveniente de Texas. La banda ha cosechado gran popularidad en el panorama post-rock debido a sus guitarras, con un sonido cinemático y elaborado, así como su a su estilo narrativo instrumental, a lo que ellos llaman "mini-sinfonías catárticas", y a sus entusiastas y emotivas actuaciones.1 En un primer momento el grupo estaba formado por tres guitarras eléctricas y batería, hasta que uno de sus miembros, Michel James, sustituyó su guitarra eléctrica por un bajo eléctrico. La agrupación se caracteriza por producir un sonido intimista, que también los define. Nunca realizan bis en sus presentaciones y no suelen tocar en escenarios muy masivos. Sin embargo su prestigio aumenta y cada vez más se asocia al grupo a la elite de bandas de post-rock que generan seguidores fieles (entre los que se contarían la banda oriental Mono, o las canadiensesGodspeed You! Black Emperor, Thee Silver Mt. Zion o Do Make Say Think), además de contar con una reputación cada vez más ascendente entre la crítica, que considera al post-rock como la gran manifestación contemporánea del rock progresivo

The film is both a stand-alone short film and a prelude to CONTINUUM, introducing many of the key ideas expanded upon in the feature documentary.

Sound In Silence is very pleased to welcome J.R Alexander (aka Message To Bears) with his new Moments EP.

Being already well known under the moniker of Message To Bears, the multi-instrumentalist Jerome Alexander has released so far two albums, one EP and one split album, all of them on the recently closed Dead Pilot Records.

This time he releases his new EP under a different alias, choosing for the first time to use his real name as the new tracks take a more electronic direction.
Moments EP is slightly less ambient and more beat based than his previous releases, while some of its tracks could have easily been released under the name of Message To Bears.

On Moments EP, J.R Alexander demonstrates a progression in his discography, creating five excellent tracks of beautiful soundscapes, using layers of electronics, warm synths, ethereal samples, gorgeous acoustic guitars, glockenspiel, piano and viola.
The finishing touch on the great sound of Moments EP was applied by the carefully done mastering of George Mastrokostas (aka Absent Without Leave).

This is a limited edition of 300 handmade and hand-numbered collectible copies, packaged in a lovely hand-stamped recycled cardboard envelope with the front cover image printed on a polaroid style photo paper and an insert printed on nice fabric paper.
