
K.D. Veazey is the quintessential miracle child. Dealt an unplayable hand of ADD, OCD, bipolar disorder, Tourette's syndrome, six types of cancer, a brain tumor, and not one, but two strokes all before the age of sixteen, one could understand why giving up would be understandable. However, in defiance of doctor's diagnosis's, Veazey learned how to walk, talk, and pursue his dreams  regardless of his disabilities.
K.D. Veazey's career began in the winter of 2006. He, and his family had moved to the outskirts of Chattanooga, TN, two hours south of Nashville. Veazey had always dreamed of recording in a real studio, so with some money he had saved up, Veazey traveled to Nashville to record with producer, Brian Eckert, who had worked with artists such as Travis Tritt, and Josh Turner. To Veazey's surprise, Eckert was also the co-owner of a management, and publishing company called, Verge. Brian saw potential in Veazey, and offered him a six month artist development deal.
In those six months, Veazey learned more about the record industry than four years at Belmont would have taught him. When it ended, he was prepared to start the long road to a successful career in music. After five years of honing his craft, and playing bars, and clubs in Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia, Veazey decided to take his career to the next level. He is currently, preparing to start his own label, release a debut LP, and look for investors to fund a regional tour of the Southeast.
Veazey's motto has never changed since his then six year old brother gave him advice he would stay true to forever- "Don't focus on the past. Don't look to the future, live for today."
