Recording of the final minutes of the live action Stahlschwert16, carried out at the opening of the 2nd NSK State Folk Art Biennale. Stahlschwert16 is a half-hour piece composed from Irish archive sources and field recordings blended with live electronics. A studio version will now be prepared for future release on VEB89. Sz. VEB89 is a specialist, non-aligned electronic label from London. It will present the work of various electronic artists addressing hard themes through hard sounds using a variety of styles. Releases will be thematic and restricted to limited runs. Core artists: Sz. Berlin, The Party Machine, Viy.

Its first release is the thematic compilation DDR60, released on the 65th anniversary of the creation of the East German state. Featuring Sz. Berlin, The Party Machine, Gerechtigkeits Liga, Last Dominion Lost, The Pain Machinery, H3NR!K, Kristus Kut, Groupe T, Eva3 (remixing Sz. Berlin), Special Victim and Orgonautic, DDR60 embraces EBM, martial industrial, dark ambient, power electronics, hardcore post-new beat and even East German-inspired space pop.

VEB89 is now planning its first vinyl release, Risen from Ruins and Facing the Future. This will feature remixes of DDR60 tracks. The first remix by Autopsia has now been completed.
