Better late than rushed, right...?

This song has such a great melody, who knew flipping Zelda's theme backwards would make something so good? It had it's challenges, mainly that it's in 3/4 and that makes it harder to slap but I think I managed! I chose instrumentation designed to be a balanced mix of symphonic and electronic to keep the original epic feel. I played around with tempos a lot this time around too which made for some dramatic effects. This game was great on the Wii, and this theme really stuck in my head since then. God this was such a blast to make! This track flowed off my fingertips like butter, something about it was felt natural. I wanted to go with a hype happycore DnB something genre because that's kinda what the original was. I spent a lot of time on the build up, and I think it really works! Now, I'll be honest. I'm not very good at fall guys, but the soundtrack slaps!

Once again an a pleasure to work with @Player2 on this one! Every time we collab I feel like we make something groovier. I've noticed that @Player2  definitely has strengths where I have weaknesses, which makes us a great team! He is good at creating song structure and meticulously balancing the mix where as I feel like I bring the dank beats/well placed sound effects, and some good timbre choices (including wubs)! Anyway this was a blast to make, and we hope you enjoy this while playing the new Pokémon games! Player2 did a great job on the background video btw holy shit.

A remix of a remix? Can he do that?! Oh yes, it's been a while since this gem of a remix. Dark World was my second remix ever actually, and still by far my most popular. Honestly, I'm kinda surprised it's done so well. It wasn't my best work in my opinion and it's quite dated now! It's been 8 years, and now that I'm going to VGMCon (Oops, All Zelda!) I thought it was about time to give it a little more love. While I was making this I actually impressed myself with how many ideas I still like from back then. It was rough around the edges, but it really had some great moments. I wanted to speed it up a little, 128 bpm really let's the complextro genre shine I think. I also wanted more variation in the track, because the old one was a little repetitive. This redux takes you on a wild journey, and I'm excited for everyone to hear it! Thank U all for supporting me over all these years. I'm gonna keep going as long as I can!

Zelda: Dark World (Vector U REDUX)

Spirtual sequel to Lunar Fractals! More nostalgic piano and techno! Leaning into the retrowave/synthwave vibe we dived into over the last couple months. pftq came up with the main synth melody & piano while we were working on the Progenitor OST, and Waterflame ran with the rest! 

There's also a longer Waterflame remix as well! The original version here has more emphasis from pftq on the piano and main melody.
