When I first undertook the Sonic CD project, I really wanted to remix one of the signature sources in an electronica style that would still pay homage to the original. Listening through the OST, I thought Palmtree Panic's various zone themes were ripe for expansion and could fit together quite well. The result was this mix, which is easily my strongest and most well-developed song to-date. It starts off with a light and airy atmosphere and then takes us through the Present and Bad Future sources and then finishes up with the Good Future source, which includes a square synth solo overtop some Sonic SFX, which was a ton of fun to write. It then comes full circle and closes out with some more of the light and ethereal instrumentation from the intro. I was really trying to make this mix sound like it belonged within the game, but expanding it with some additional instrumentation and personalization. I like to think I succeeded!

I loved this tune as kid, and I wanted to breathe some funky house vibes into it for you! I kept making different kinds of drops and it turns out, simple is better. Also tried some new visual effects for the video! The second drop has a nice special surprise for you ;)

Pokémon G/S/C: Game Corner (Vector U Remix)

Some of you might remember that I did a 20 song challenge a couple of months ago, and this was one of the tracks I started. H8Ø8 heard it and was like "SEND THAT TO ME NOW", and so I did lol. We really cooked up a monster here, ranging from Trap to Moombah, to Drum and Bass! It was a lot of fun to make, and it's crazy what you can do with a simple melody sometimes. This went real hard at VGMcon, and I hope you guys like it too :)

Super Mario World: Forest Of Illusion (Vector U X H8Ø8 Remix)

It was an absolute pleasure to work on this track with my homie Equalyze! When they reached out to me for a collab and an idea for this track, I was like LFG I've always wanted to remix this one. We wanted to go for a glitch hop vibe, but had some trouble feeling out the tempo at first. Eventually we settled on a slower, swankier speed and I think it turned out great! Equalyze has great compositional and improvisational skills. That combined with my sound design and fat beats (temporal awareness?) was a match made in Rainbow Ride. We really hope you enjoy this one!

"Pridemoor Keep" Shovel Knight Remix

Yup, once again this one has taken me quite some time... I was in the midst of a move and starting my new job, so I'm sorry for the wait! 

This one just screamed electro swing to me, so I tried to spice it up with some chopped samples and my very own drum solo :D (Yes I play drums). I also wanted some fresh 8-bit elements and in-game samples cuz it wouldn't be a Vector U remix without those! I loved making this one, and I think it'll be a nice upbeat entry to the Gamecube album.
