Vee Ram Dil Mein Chupake Main Master

This young man who is originally from Rio Claro made his debut on the stage at a tender age of 4 years old in a Divali program in Tableland, singing a Kumar Sanu selection entitled “Jab Koi Baat.” Vishnu Ramkaran who, just this year, goes under the sobriquet of Vee Ram started listening radio and songs from the local radio stations at a very tender age. He then made it into a game where he used to always sing and announce through brick walls of an empty echoing room playing he was a radio station. This game was picked up by his parents and they realized he had a passion for singing at a very tender age.
He grew up singing in temples, in primary school he was one of the vocalists that helped Rio Claro Hindu School cop 1st place in the Baal Vikaas programme and he also sang in St. Stephen’s College, the Secondary school he attended. Whilst attending University he entered the Mastana Bahar program last nine years ago where he was a grand finalist of the program. In that said year he started singing for the band D Rampersad Indi Art and also started classes in Hindustaani classical music. From that time till this very date Vee Ram has been in the front line of two other bands one English and the other crossover, changed his sobriquet from “Gotti” to Vee Ram, took some training in English Classical and was also part of a production team who went by the name of M.I. Studios.
The secret behind this young man’s voice is the struggle behind it all. Singing is a passion and he does alot to try and always give a quality production/ performance keeping in mind that there is always room for improvement. Vee Ram hopes one day to be a household name and to establish himself not just as a singer of one genre but someone with versatility, style and charisma who does all types of music that people love. Vee Ram is someone to look forward too and hopes that at the end of his musical journey he would have touched the lives of millions and contributed to the culture of our sweet twin island Trinidad and Tobago.
