I've always wanted to dip my toes in FM Synth territory. In a recent gamejam I decided to go in as a Sound Designer rather than my usual role as Programmer and I had a lot of fun messing around with VOPM.

I started off by using a set of FM patches obtained from Genesis/Mega Drive games, but I altered most of them to, hopefully, make everything sound more balanced maybe? I'm most definitely no expert so excuse me if it sounds like shit.

Most PCM samples were lifted from Sonic 3.
