Formed 2011 in Copenhagen, PISS VORTEX is as unrelenting and intense as the band is uniquely different from the rest of their native scene. The band’s sound can be described as an abrasive amalgamation of the blastbeat driven fury of old-school grindcore, the filthy twang of noise rock and the mind-bending intricacy of the chaotic late ‘90s/early ‘00s metalcore/hardcore scene. Produced by Jakob Reichert Nielsen (Lack, Rising, Anti Ritual) and mastered by Brad Boatright (Integrity, High On Fire, Nails), the self-titled debut album from PISS VORTEX is a hectic tour de force in relentless creativity, with blinding aggression and off-the-wall musicianship fans of Antigama, Burnt By The Sun, Deadguy, Napalm Death and Rotten Sound will be instantly infected by, leaving the listener wasted by its fourteen tracks in twenty-three minutes of playing time.

Indisciplinarian will release Piss Vortex on November 3rd 2014. The album will be released as a 12” LP in two editions, 350 black and 150 piss yellow, and will also be available digitally worldwide on all relevant online platforms.

The nightmare continues with news of Blodets Bånd, the caustic debut LP from Copenhagen raw punks HALSHUG, which will be unchained by Southern Lord on February 24th. 
 
HALSHUG (which translates to ‘decapitate’) is fast becoming known within Europe’s hallowed DIY routes and enclaves for their impeccably executed hardcore crust, which pays furious tribute to their rich K-town heritage and crucially adds an abrasive modern stomp . With searing distortion, radical d-beat pace, overblown reverb vocals, HALSHUG leaves no room for subtlety or second-guessing across the eight tracks of their first full-length effort, Blodets Bånd. Formed in Copenhagen two years ago, the riotous young act, HALSHUG, unloads some of the most traditionally-styled but urgently unloaded traditional crust punk/d-beat hardcore to be found. The enraged sentiment of archetypal leaders of the genre, Doom, Anti Cimex, and no doubt, Discharge, and direct influence drawn from Infernöh, Hoax and Death Token, is unapologetic in its presence in the band’s delivery, which, fueled by society’s modern-day ills, finds HALSHUG already in line with Nuclear Death Terror, Wolfbrigade, Skitsystem and the best of the movement’s current top acts. Through only an initial demo followed by their 2013-released Dödskontrol 7”, HALSHUG has amassed a punishing name early in the powerful trio’s lifespan through regional and even more heavily-concentrated European touring, and continues to expand on their live executions in 2014 with more widespread gigs than ever already ongoing and in the works. Following the release of Blodets Bånd, HALSHUG will tour abroad through Europe and will invade North America for the first time in 2015.

HALSHUG "Total Destruktion"

Philadelphia’s hypergrind violators, DIE CHOKING, will release their debut full-length LP, III, through The Compound Recs late this Summer, as the band begins their most rigorous tour schedule to date.
 
III was recorded in April with Will Yip at Studio 4 in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania (Lauryn Hill, Circa Survive, Blacklisted) capturing DIE CHOKING’s most intense material yet with absolutely superior sound and production, the band then sanctioning Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Integrity, From Ashes Rise, Nails) for its mastering. With seemingly implausible heaviness delivered at an absolutely unstoppable velocity, the eleven tracks on III deliver even faster BPM-rates and more complicated arrangements than the band’s prior releases, the new material merging more elements of hardcore punk and crust with their blinding speed/grind metal. Socio-political topics as intense as the music itself permeate each blazing anthem, which continue the ongoing theme carrying through from their smoldering self-titled debut and subsequent II 7” releases, with tracks XI through XXI. The impending debut LP from Philly’s most unhinged act promises to be one of the most violent, high-speed releases of 2015.
 
DIE CHOKING will partner with The Compound, the underworld label faction of Earsplit, for the release of III, as with both of their prior 7” EPs. The album will be issued in September on all digital platforms as well as three color variations of 180-gram colored LP with exclusive colors and merch bundle packages.
