Vykhod Sily Podcast - Selectabwoy Guest Mix

Based in Manchester, Pod Imiya plays a mix of jungle and drum n bass styles, dropping in hardcore, IDM and sped-up electro. Her sets are often centred around rough breaks and mash-ups of heavy jungle with female acapellas and melodic leads. Starting out as a regular DJ at Hit & Run, she has played nights such as Rupture, License to Jungle, Chicken Shop Events and new Sheffield-based night Anomalies, which showcases the wonkier side of 170bpm.

I try to play stuff that's dark and uplifting at the same time. I like the rush those sort of tunes give you, like a party at the apocalypse, especially when surrounded by other people dancing and feeling the same!

London-based No Nation heads up the first in a brand new series on Inperspective Records, 'Technicality Sessions', highlighting the most explosive talent and eclectic selections!

Rooted in the sounds of Jazz, Progressive Rock and Fusion, No Nation quickly cemented himself as a staple within the Soul, RnB and old school Hip-Hop club scenes with a Residency at Vibe London, alongside stellar appearances at popular events like Old School Sundays and GotSoul Sundays, as well as international bookings across the globe. A transition away from his roots brought him closer to Jungle, and a residency on Subtle Radio exploring a fresh take on UK dance music.  All these influences are eminent throughout this sublime mix. 

As a producer his music is something to be savoured. Drawing inspiration from music on labels such as Inperspective and Scientific Wax, he combines a dynamic and diverse fusion of soulful sounds, chopped breaks and samples - sure to leave a lasting impression. Along with his production partner Sheba Q, No Nation has several features on Bristol-based dance label, Slippery Sounds, and looks forward to releases on other notable imprints in 2021.
