The information in this forecast is purely fictional but most is based in real (if misused) science. The format of this transmission is based on the UK shipping forecast which broadcasts weather information daily. 

The categories used in order are:
Name of system
Velan Sector Catalogue Number
K-index (a measure of geomagnetic "wind" or storms)
Coronal Mass Ejections (a count of dangerous solar emissions)
Cosmic Radiation
Chance of local anomalies
Drive Space Turbulence (a totally made up thing)
