and with it, my head, my stomach, my breath.
There's no pause – no place to catch it, no place to catch me.
Like a centrifuge, it hurls the weight of the world inward, pressing
me into the center of something I can't escape. It's getting faster.

Centrifuge Of Life

Every signal the mind sends is a flicker, a gust of living lightning.
That's why the phrase social battery rings so true. Some of us
recharge in moments. Others take days. And some… never quite
hold a charge again. But what happens when a battery falters?
When the current surges, wild and uncontained? It burns.
It short-circuits. It collapses under its own voltage – a quiet
implosion of wires and will. Just like a person under too much
pressure, too much strain, too much power coursing through
a fragile frame. We don't fade gently – we flare. We burn out
in a blaze of emotion and exhaustion.

Human Short Circuit

Before the first bird dares to sing, the alarm wails its fear some
hymn. Another week begins its toll, another fall, another fold.
How far will I sink this time? Will I rise to meet tomorrow's sun,
or lose myself in the shadowed labyrinth of anxiety and noise?
No answer rides the morning light, only the sun's gentle fingers
brushing the threshold, beckoning me through the bleak,
uncertain gate of my doorframe.

Burn Like The Sun

In the morning thunder of engines, the full spectrum of life fades,
distilled into three colours, and only one truly matters: green.
I must arrive on time. Just like the driver behind me, or the fifth car
ahead – all chasing minutes as if they hold the meaning of years.
But why? Must I? Or do I simply obey? Will two minutes won in this
slow-motion race reshape the next twenty years of my life? I will
never know. For now, another traffic light fixes me in its emerald
gaze, severing the final thread of a fleeting peace I didn't know I had.

Green Wave

So loud. A flood of noise – like steel beams twisting,
glass groaning under pressure. Voices ricochet off
concrete walls.
Stop talking. Why are there so many people? Why so close?
Why so loud? I need to get home. To a quiet place. To stillness.
Stop pushing. Please, not now. Not another conversation.
My head is full.
My time is thin.
My nerves are raw.
So loud.

Solicitous

I escape. It's not night, not yet, but light is fading, hiding.
I can barely see it anymore. The road runs beneath me, familiar,
one I've known longer than memory. Above, the sky hangs dark
blue, wide and deep, like an ocean that never ends. Like what I feel.
I wish I could step into it, slip beneath its surface and let it wash me
clean. Wash away the weight, the fear, the things I've carried too far,
too long.

Blue Hour

I remember this path. How well I know its turn and bend,
though time has touched it, changed it, as I, too, have changed.
When first I walked here, all felt dull, unmoved. These woods, these
stones, these skies. But now, each time I return, they breathe their life
into me, and the moss-hung trees reach down as if to peel away the
layer of fear I have been carrying. Let this place remain. Unchanging,
eternal. A hush in the world where I can begin again.

A Memory, Overgrown With Moss

I have returned. With the torch of my newfound will, I cast light
into corners that once held only shadows. My room is no longer
a prison. It has become a shelter, a breath between storms.
My office, no longer a chamber of dread, now stands as a place
of purpose, where focus lives. And people, once towering like
monsters, are simply travellers, just like me. Wounded, wondering,
seeking. All of us moving toward something forgotten. Toward
something that once felt like home. Like a swallow, I find myself
flying back to where I began.

A plant cannot grow without nourishment. Without roots sunk
deep into the remains of what once lived. Fertiliser made of fallen
things: leaves that curled into themselves, creatures returned to the
earth. Death giving back, as if it remembered how to become life.
Maybe it's not just plants. Maybe we, too, must fall to rise.
Maybe something in us must die so something else can be born.
They say the richest soil comes after wildfire, when the forest burns
itself clean. If that's true, then let this fire inside me not be the end.
Let it be the beginning of something wild and alive.
