Velle Crow, is a finely-skilled emcee known for his clever rhymes and thought-provoking wordplay. Crow embraces the essence of hip-hop in his artistry and seeks to revive the pulse of the current state of the culture with his appeal. Hailing from Saint Louis, MO, Velle’s inspiration for music was harnessed at an early age through various genre’s ranging from Classical to Soul. The product of both a writer and a poet, Mother and Father, Crow’s ability for creative writing and musical vocation sparked from his liberal upbringing and artistic exposure. Since 2010, Crow has recorded numerous projects, previously under the alias Lavelle Spitz, such as his City Slicker Mixtape series and the SpitzCraft LP, showcasing his abilities as a cunning lyricist. Crow is a member of the now-defunct band, The Noam Chomskys, where he rhymed over original compositions and played as a front-lyricist and percussionist. His latest LP, Frames Per Second encompasses some his most introspective work aimed at speaking truth to the current social climate well under surveillance at every angle. In 2022, Velle’s single “People Hurtin” was selected to be on Chicago’s Vocalo Radio 90.1 playlist “Poised to Breakthrough” on Spotify. Velle Crow opened up for acts such as Killer Mike and Syleena J and was a contestant in the 2019 Addidas Emcee Olympics held in Chicago that year. The Midwest native continues to release music between Chicago and St. Louis and is currently planning his 1st US tour in the country.
