This is the first time I recorded a dawn chorus with owls in it! 
Around 6am both morning and night birds seemed to sync up.
Three species from the Turdidae family, and of course the Tawny owl. Many other birds are present too, and also some background noise from the wind and the road not too far away, here in the south of France.
Enjoy listening.

In the evening there was some rain but also an eagle owl not that far away. What a nice scene to capture while being absent physically. Next time I'll be staying a little with zoom camera.

This track is based quite literally on the text from the haiku... I used a dawn chorus recording I made earlier this year during springtime and gave it 4 stems in the partition. The top is the normal recording, then after a little time the 2nd stem comes in, with the same birds song pitched down. Then follow stems 3 and 4 later on, each more pitched down to complete treble, alto, tenor and bass. 
What originally sounded like a crisp dawn chorus here in the woods, slowly sounds like a deep Jurassic jungle...

Recorded at Grand Central Station, 3/31/2020.  A normally buzzing hub of travel is empty, save for the police, train conductors, and about 5 other people looking for shelter.  I never thought this could be a place where you could focus on the footsteps of a single person.
