With roots in classical orchestra and a detour through hip-hop culture, bb89’s musical journey reflects the diverse pathways that lead to electronic music. After a period of musical hiatus, his rediscovery of music through ghetto tech and breakbeats eventually guided him to the hypnotic realm of proper techno, where he found his true artistic home.

This journey of sonic exploration wasn’t just about finding a style – it was about discovering a culture. The techno scene, its clubs, and the music itself reignited his passion for both creating and performing. What draws him to techno is its unique duality: monotonous yet versatile, repetitive yet timeless.
