With this tribute to the talented duo behind Project GHIZ, Gorje Hewek & Izhevski, I wanted to share my appreciation for their incredible music. 

They had some quality releases on well known labels, but I want to highlight their amazing releases on Shanti Radio that I consider to be some of their best work.

Under the name GHIZ, these earlier productions showcase a unique and edgy style that I truly love. The melodies are simply beautiful and the overall flow of the music is captivating.

I hope you enjoy GHIZ's music as much as I do, and I welcome your thoughts and comments on their work.

Our guest on the show this month is Emotional Tourist. Hailing from Bucharest, Romania, he’s a fresh talent who made his way onto the scene back in 2016 under his Andrew Case alias, where he released tracks on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat label and others. In 2018 the Emotional Tourist name was created with his first track released on Shanti Moscow Radio.

His deep and melodic sounds are about the moments and memories we create that are easily accessed through a simple chord or an emotion. Combining different notes of happiness with strings of sadness, Emotional Tourist is a love letter from the artist to the music and world.

His music can be found on labels such as When We Dip, Mixed Feelings Kindisch and others, including a long overdue appearance right here on Loot Recordings. Keep an eye out for his new remix of Silence Path “Sittin’ Here In Silence”.
