Joe McBride AKA Synkro has built up a hugely impressive catalogue of releases over the last few years. Via albums and singles for Apollo, Exit Records and his own Synkro Music imprint, the Manchester based producer and sound architect has amassed a dazzling archive of elaborate, emotive and intellectual soundscapes drawing in influences across a spectrum of bass culture and electronica.

On the ‘Information’ EP, it’s business as usual, as Synkro deploys four fresh and forward thinking tracks that slither across the genres with ease. From the frantic percussion and dubwise tones of title track ‘Information’ to the absorbing textures and crackling ambience of the beatless opener ‘Cycles’, the attention to detail and the depth of layered sonics across all four tracks afford the listener a truly mesmerising experience. The dusty and dark skank of ‘Signal’ is a real mood piece, whilst ‘Last Breath’ closes the EP drenched in sanguine sentiments.

A long term veteran of the Dub Techno scene Mueller's music never fails to leave a mark on its listener. Evoking otherworldly textures and ambience whilst conveying emotion through melodic baseline and synth work, he has an outstanding discography reaching back to the early 2000's and in our opinion this is some of his best work to date. 

'Groundworks' is an album compiled of 9 tracks, each made with a forward thinking concept in mind from Joerg. Pushing his new style of production for this project whilst also connecting back to his dub/bass orientated roots.

Microfunk Music has released a new EP called "Puzzles". The release contains four tracks by Microfunk artists that will soon be releasing their solo records on the label.

The compilation provides a glimpse into the future sound of the Microfunk label. You'll find vintage IDM melodies from Microfunk Crew in the track "Bikini Bottom", and futuristic glitches in the ambient epos "Sparkling Lake" by Dissident. "Minimal Love" by Subwave stands out with its meditative vibe that's somehow still at home on the dancefloor, and Nuage opens up new horizons for the evolution of his and the label’s sound with his 160-bpm track "Parallel".

"Puzzles EP" is out now digitally. A limited edition of tote bags and prints with the artwork are available via Bandcamp.
