SMUT Press is proud to present the thirteenth mix in our SMUT sounds mix series by German-born DJ and general all around icon, ferrari rot. ferrari rot (moniker of Candi) is the co-founder of party and mix series ‘Dimenzione Danza’ (their next edition hosting friends Soria and Siofra) and has been playing some of the hottest parties of recent (including Lanoche last month alongside Byron Yeates, Cait and THC).  Drawing on a wide array of musical influence she is well known for commitment “in connecting the dots distinctively” to create dynamic, rousing sets.  Appearances on Hoer Berlin, Foundation.fm, Netil Radio as well as Club Heart Broken have both cemented her reputation and rewarded her with a loyal following, including us at SMUT Press.  We are pleased to present this fiery, ravey mix to you, showcasing ferrari rot’s incredible selecting ability. SMUT Press is delighted to present our 25th mix by the incredible Mercorn.  A deep love of hard house, prog and trance form the backbone of her sound, where these styles fuelled Ireland throughout its formative 90’s rave heyday, Mercorn’s sound is characterised by the soaring basslines and giddy snare rolls from that era and her careful selection always cultivates an unmatched fizzing, brimming energy. Offsetting the brisk winter days this mix was influenced by the sound of hot sexy summer and captures her signature euphoric energy. Expect deep percussive riffs and fab vocals, this is one that will keep you coming back for more! 

Mercorn is a Dublin-based dj and a lifetime member of the rave. She trades exclusively in dancefloor transcendence who embodies the psychedelic lifeblood of Irish rave history through her joyous selections, vivacious spirit and also as a member of collectives Tender and Skin&Blister.  Over the last few years her rise has been steadily building with notable attention around the UK and Europe from some of London’s most celebrated queer parties such as Adonis at The Cause, Big Dyke Energy at Venue MOT and Fast & Bi-Furious at Dalston Superstore while also at home in some of Ireland’s best clubs such as Yamamori Tengu, Wigwam, Index. Mixes for Haŵs and Proxima further her impressive cause. Aside from djing, Mercorn is an active community builder in her hometown of Dublin. This is most prevalent in her membership of collectives Skin&Blister and Tender. Both collectives have been instrumental in diversifying Ireland’s music landscape in both clubs and at festivals.  She is also a pioneering independent designer with her MNW Design business, individually handcrafting each item of clothing she sells.
