I wrote this track a while ago knowing I wanted it to be this super breezy and dreamy tune with some sense of longing, but I was hard stuck for lyrics. A few months later I met a friend who shared his story of his ex who had made some unexpected choices, ultimately pushing him towards contempt for someone he still deeply loved. The emotional turmoil felt perfect for the track and so along with the lyrics this sort of punchy retaliation of something other than dreamy love was born into the chorus. It was exactly what I needed to cut through the misty, mellow tones of the rest of the track. sa'perte translates to 'her loss' from my friends native language. It feels so personal yet distancing at the same time
