A Canadian group that thinks they were the first people to think of the name "Verbal Poets" got very upset when they learned that we own rights to the name via an official trademark through the U.S.P.T.O. The Canadian posers decided to make a "diss track" for us that they titled "Get Your Lawyer On." Check it out if you're up for a good laugh. We answered back with the preceeding skit that features some of their pathetic material and then followed it up with this retaliatory diss track of our own. We'll be the first to admit that they didn't deserve our attention but it was far less hassle (and far more fun) than pursuing a lawsuit against them.

Verbal Poets is a Maryland based rap group that focuses on delivering impressive lyricism over original beats. Members and contributing artists are from various states and countries. Snake's Kin and Intelligent Dezign produce all Verbal Poets songs with the exception of the song "Guerillaz," which is produced by Infidel. Snake's Kin, Sinner Prophet, Grizzly, Masta Murray and 'Te I.A. contribute vocals. R&B artist, Kola, contributed the hook/chorus heard in "Lavender Girl." Labal-S and Leeroy Destroy of Bloody Monk Consortium contributed vocals on "Combined Forces." Tight Strings contributes guitar work.
