This song tells a myth that never existed — and yet feels ancient.

It is set in a world where Norse seafarers crossed the deserts as often as they crossed the seas, where Scandinavia and Ancient Egypt slowly bled into one another, and where Thor and Ra were no longer separate gods, but two faces of the same divine force: thunder and sun, judgment and kingship.

At the center of the song is a captive woman — a slave taken by a Norse warband and carried south to be sold. When the caravan reaches the familiar sands of her homeland, she begins to sing. Her song is not a plea for mercy. It is temptation.

She speaks in the language of the North, invoking their gods, their hunger for glory, their belief that greatness is earned through daring and defiance. She promises them a vision: a city of Ra, where their leader could be crowned Pharaoh, where a foreign king could rule Lower Egypt, wrapped in gold, feared and worshipped. Her words ignite the greed of the warband. One by one, their voices join hers, until the song becomes a chorus — a ritual persuasion, a collective will pressing in on their king.

What sounds like praise becomes prophecy.
What sounds like reward becomes judgment.

When they arrive, the promise is fulfilled — but not as they imagined. The coronation is a sacrifice. The king, his warriors, and the woman herself are killed and buried with full honors, entombed as nobles, possessions of the gods. Their deaths complete the ritual they unknowingly sang into being.

The chorus, heard earlier as triumph, returns with a darker meaning:
death itself makes the king a ruler,
the desert becomes his kingdom,
gold becomes a shroud,
and divinity is paid for in blood.

In the final vision, the fallen king is welcomed by Thor and Ra together — not as a hero, but as a rightful offering. They feast and rule the eternal desert as one.

And the woman awakens — or perhaps her soul does — opening her eyes to the same endless sands where the song began.

The song is about temptation disguised as destiny,
about how power seduces before it destroys,
and about how gods are often just mirrors for human desire.

It is a hymn sung on the edge between glory and annihilation — where victory and sacrifice are the same word, spoken twice.
