‘Control’ is one of my most sincerest song ever. It’s me reflecting, it’s me accepting that sometimes you can’t control everything in life or you can’t always have control on someone’s life. Sometimes it’s just all in your head. Control is a reflection of the chaos i call my own mind, my anxieties, my obsession and how i tried to maintain the war inside of me. I have learned from my mistakes and i am getting better.

A short story behind the song:

Nobody Else is a song about the 'girl of my dreams' and how trust plays a big part when that person hasn't been around long enough to become reality. The song is part of Ward's Girls EP, out on Friday march 30th. Girls contains 5 tracks about the 'girls' she's come to know this past year. Love, freedom and acceptance are the main topics of the EP.

WARD (also known as Verena Ward, 4th October 1994) is a Dutch/Indonesian singer, songwriter and DIY producer. Growing up in the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, she started in her bedroom as her base to produce music in high school that led her to musical collaborations. She is a member of Ward & Sahraei, an indie pop duo, also based in Rotterdam. They released their EP Talks on September 30th 2015, earning lots of international attention and press. The duo has since been on a hiatus. 
WARD has performed as a singer-songwriter on stages throughout Rotterdam and Amsterdam under the name Verena Ward. 
Ward describes her sound as “an experimental dreamy indie pop that you don’t hear quite often.” Influenced by acts such as The xx, Bleachers & Tegan and Sara
