Quick to condemn, condescend, disparage and humiliate 
There in the dark she sits with a heavy black heart full of hatred 
Violent acts are reflected over and over again and again

Paranoid problems and 
Suspicious thoughts 
She bites

to the inside 
So mean 
Cruel to the bone 
Narcissistic tendencies 
Sarcastic filthy slut etiquette

Sorrow reigns in dry dead desolate lands 
My heart feels heavy, hurt, yet hallow
The sun might not rise for me again (When? When? When?)
When the promise of life might not come tomorrow

When sorrow reigns in desolate lands
With not a single drop of summer rain
With every empty mud cracked river
With only bloodletting vain pain
With nothing but dry desert sand
With only dust and wind life withers
With them wondering why I don't thrive
When in truth I struggle to survive

Submitting to an always anxious mind
Slowly draining my last will to live 
Struggling with anguish and anger
Severing every aching nerve

Taking more taking everything
Wanting the stars and the moon
Taking my universe taking everything
Wanting anything alive that blooms

Alone I’m left in desolate lands
Slowly approaching I could see,
A murder of carrion crows 
Perched on the branches
Of a long dead dark tree
Where many a man had hung before me

Apathetic the world has become 
Lifeless, cold, inadmissibly numb
Souls silently suffering
Left with no more choices
Hearing only crows’ cracked voices

Please if I cry then
Pluck out my eye
Please let me die
Slowly

Take me to the funeral pyre
I want to burn in hellish hurt
Let me be consumed by fire 
But do not let my voice be heard

My face melting
My skin scorching
My bowels boiling
Slowly

With sheer glee
They peck and pluck at me
They’re ready to feast
On the organs at my feet

My guts like worms
Are fed to their young 
No part of me left 
Every sinew undone

Sorrow

VERKRAG is a solo project, hailing from South Africa. "VERKRAG" is an Afrikaans word meaning; Rape, (raped, raping), violation, assault, ravishment.

By combining horrific and atmospheric sounds and dark Black and Death Metal riffs, VERKRAG openly portrays the feelings of insanity and despair. Lyrical content include themes like rape, torture, cannibalism and necrophilia. These acts however are not promoted, but merely portrayed through the eyes of the deranged killer. It is a journey into the mind of the psychotic.
