For the 23rd edition we welcome @1986tessuto to our mix series, who is a DJ, promoter and music producer based in São Paulo since 2007. 
After creating the independent collective that is Carlos Capslock in 2010, he ends up becoming a vector that helped shape a whole generation of promoters and clubbers in several Brazilian cities that were inspired by its event production model that aims to bring out the leading role of LGBTQIA+ artists and revisit the roots of the movement that gave rise to the club and party scene in NY in the late 80s, in addition to empowering promoters by suggesting a more free and libertarian based on the molds of the do-it-yourself culture for your event. He also runs, alongside L_cio, a record label: MEMNTGN, which acts as a platform to launch new Brazilian talent.

Connecting introspective and dense impressions - as we can hear in the tracks of Vermelho, ROTCIV, TJOR, Vermelho Wonder, Agrabah, Malka, Frontinn, Barsotti and Sphynx - and more expansive and mental experimentation - that surround the tracks of Davis, Zopelar, TYV, Érica, Martinelli, Kinkid, Ignácio, Carrot Green and Paloma - the
disc absorbs the balance between playful and Balearic everyday scenarios, and the voracious energy of the dance floor.

Here's the first mix of 2019, travelling alongside some aesthetics and ambiences. As always replet with exoticism, experimentalism, synths, drum machines and analogue jams, seasoned with a healthy dose of nostalgia.

Sao Paulo's "Vermelho Wonder" (AKA DJ Vermelho and vocalist Ivana Wonder) debut on Mister Mistery, loaded with Italo-disco, New-wave, Synth-pop and House influencies, the duo already made a name for themselves locally with a huge and very present fanbase. 

Following the great response of their first EP "Rock The Box" they return with "Nightcrawlers" containing the original tracks "Nightcrawlers" and "Feelings" which are both highly anticipated in their live shows, sounding a lot like anthems in Sao Paulo's rich and diverse nightlife. 

To top it off, we get two different dance-floor remixes by Italian Massimiliano Pagliara and 
Mister Mistery's own ROTCIV. 

In artistic harmony Vermelho Wonder produce a series of musical works, video experiments and live performances - they have already performed at the Red Bull Music Academy São Paulo and Milkshake festivals as well as numerous clubs and venues locally.

Márcio Vermelho’s creative force irradiates throughout nightlife in many forms by transforming each corner in a place to materialize itself: be it as a DJ whose sets are odes to the dancefloor, as a producer of tracks that are odysseys of sounds or as the creator of an artistic multiverse such as ODD, a collective that reconfigured the expressive reality of its hometown and made it the focal point of an eclectic and emboldened sound not only in Brasil, but across the continent.

It pulsates through initiatives that garnered him space in fronts as diverse as the Havana Biennale and University of São Paulo’s Paço das Artes, or even global sources of musical excellence, among them Sonar Kollektiv, The Magic Movement and Bastard Jazz. Also manifesting itself in the form of a myriad of projects, individual or collaborative, AV or conceptual, local or global ones, including the performatic Vermelho Wonder, the inebriating Video-Sistema, the sophisticated Sphynx, as well as his own curatorial platforms: the vigorous label In Their Feelings and the acclaimed ODD.

This energy also vibrates in many frequencies, covering a wide spectrum of possibilities that ranges from renowned venues such as Berghain, Salon Zu Wilden Renate and D-Edge, reaching the floors of hedonistic dens across the globe all the way through the colossal ones that festivals such as Dekmantel, DGTL and Contre-Temps manage to gather.

Alas, this kind of tonal range is what allows a talent as multifarious as his to be translated so precisely in the properties of the very colour that names it, warming up hearts, energizing bodies and illuminating horizons.
