Sounds of nature at dawn and a poem to the sunrise.  

A ravine dawn (Barrancas de La Pedrera, Jan 21st, 2017)

The woods are alive at dawn
defusing nightmares
and inciting hope

Naked inside the bell jar
of mosquito net
sensuality awakes

Spit out the saliva
of the night
sink your face
in ice water

Unzip the dark
and let the light beam in
Emerge and listen
to the moonsun cries
the feasting birds
the copulating frogs

The unknown creatures
that you cannot see
An alien might mistake
for singing trees

Up in the sky
the flutes and violins
low on the grass
here a bass
there a trombone
In middle height
a swarm
that´s out of tune

Under the floorboards
of the pillared tent
the stillness
that holds it all
together

A house of sun
arise behind the trees
is the conductor
with commanding wand
will bring them all
to silence

There was a blindman once
who could recognize
each earthly bird
by its singular song

Between mosquito bites
and thousand shades of green
I bless my unextraordinary ear
for the mysteriousness 
of music
for all I hear
is life

The house is now 
a circle
that can pierce the trees
and if you stare
you might be blinded too

Now bless my
unextraordinary sight
my barely focused eyes
that I can see
the lilac clouds
the safety net
of forest
beneath my hammock

The moonbird sings
its satellite farewell
the yellow 
has turned white

A distant baby cry
from swamp or cave
trumpets the end
of the first movement
and the beginning
of something new

In solitude
of lovers lost
the harmony begins

(Pen, paper, nature
is all a girl needs)

A RAVINE DAWN

I am a writer. I make songs sometimes by sheer force of will and need for expression. I was fortunate to enlist a few friends to help out with some demo  recordings.
