Back when we were kids, my grandfather was quite fond of random road trips. He used to bring me and my siblings on these impromptu adventures whenever he had the chance. One of the many things I could never forget from those trips was the music he played in the car; from jazz, soul, funk to bossa, the tracks made themselves comfortable inside my music library and fortunately, never left.

This mixtape is dedicated to my grandfather Peter, and at the same time I’ve added my own personal interests into this beatfest to embrace the spontaneity of the events that occurred back when he used to walk the Earth. He was an ace golfer and was famously known as “Maestro” amongst his friends, colleagues and practically everyone in the city who knew who he was. Every time someone called him that, I remember seeing a twinkle in his eye while his lips mustered a little smile. 

He was such a happy soul and he was the kindest. Simply unforgettable.
