Tokyo based Yuto Takei's latest work is an assortment of numbers that represents fairly well his versatility as a music maker. His capability of painting afterglow soundscapes with a cinematic approach is counterpoised by an almost obsessive interest in percussive experiments. The sparse presence of subtle natural field recordings together with vast open sonic spaces is recurrently sustained by repetitive semi-artificial and frantic cosmic repetitions. Comes with a riso-printed insert, handstamped innersleeve, and a label sticker.

A Brand New Day

Alma Vox is an eccentric Parisian combo, they gave us this little 7-inch without much explanation, and we were instantly drawn by its hazy poetical pop appeal.
The A side covers the famous French 80's song ‘Toi mon toit', by Elli Medeiros, adding a sensual neurasthenic disco twist, yet danceable and fun. 
'Theme II' on the B-side, has a mid-tempo reggae/funk mood combined with some ecstatic emotional chords. Perfect for a cliché-free Mediterranean sunset, this tune has already worked wonders on various discerning dance floors.
Both tracks have been mixed by I:Cube, who added his unique sound to great effect.

New Born is a group of four Italian immigrants who all lived in the area around Ulm/Bavaria. In 1981 they released a 7"-single which featured the track "Galaxy" on the B-side. The label Schatzi Musik, run by Le Discoboulet in Munich is  rereleasing Galaxy on 12". 

Apart from the original and the First Born Version, the EP also contains a remix by Alexander Arpeggio and an edited dance floor version called "Space Rework".
