Big Nitti aka Cydney Johnson Sr. was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. Losing his mother at age 3 and father at age 17, he learned the power of responsibility and narrative setting. Cydney has been engaged in music since a very young age rather recording with his sister or writing poems. Often drifting into the music of Donny Hathaway, Too Short, and Jimmi Hendrix, he found a way to stay the course regardless of turbulent times.  Cydney’s subject matter is a culmination of his experiences navigating a unique upbringing while staying focused on his goals of service, responsibility, and narrative setting. He even ran for political offices recently in the district he grew up. Cydney has now learned that the perfect arrangement and core progression combined with his voice can do something for fans that is not possible in today’s political climate. He is Connecting people through Story Telling.
