I read your notes as I listened. I must say, I am totally impressed by what you have done with this House Classic. This deserves my hashtag -- #DominoApproved

For those still interested, here's how I was able to get this rework done :
 
The Beat : by far the most tedious and complicated part. It is sampled from Dirty Beats found on the Can You Party album. The main problem was sound quality. Either online or on the vinyl itself ( which I own ), Dirty Beats bears its name for a reason. Extensive - and partially destructive - noise cancellation had to be applied to "clean up" the sample which rendered it rather flat. A subtle reverb was added to sort of drown out artifacts and inject some life back in the sample. The kick drums, snare and closed hi hats were the same as Can You Party but the incorrect open hi hats were substituted for the ones found at the beginning of Royal House - A Better Way. The entire pattern was frankensteined to match that of Can You Party which features additional snares and open hi hats compared to Dirty Beats. Waveforms were shortened in FL Studio to play only the appropriate elements ( like the breakbeat section for instance ).

Sound Effects : the siren, taken from Mantronix's King Of The Beats, was elongated with a fade out effect. The explosion was sampled from Dirty Beats as well, stretched a bit longer than the original.
 
The famous Piano Stabs : this sample was heavily altered from the original found on Marshall Jefferson's Move Your Body. Deep bass tones were added on the first two piano stabs as well as some treatment I wasn't able to duplicate so I stuck with sampling the beginning of Can You Party (Original mix). Boosted the highs a bit, cleaned it up and done.

The Vocal Samples : I used the WhoSampled.com website to know and find all the appropriate vocal clips. They were cleaned up and given a highs boost in a sound editor. Once in FL Studio, through the Parametric EQ2 plugin, lowered the bass and raised the mids to give them an "old radio" feel. A slight bit crusher was also applied ( to emulate the Emu-SP1200's low sample bitrate ) plus some reverb. Some new vocals were added, all from the same clips as the other vocal samples found throughout the original track. There's sort of a vocal Easter egg at the end of the track, a wink to a certain hip-house track from a Chicago DJ.
 
The Track Itself : obviously, I wanted it to sound as if it was made in 1988 as well therefore it is devoid of modern drum kit samples. And yet it sounds more modern at times, considering breakbeat was not exactly common back then. So the entire track is rearranged and shortened waveforms of the original track. As a side note, because of the degraded nature of the beat and piano stabs samples, the track's audio quality is not as crystal clear as you would hear on recent tracks… nor was it ever meant to be as the original track doesn't have stellar audio quality to begin with. Also the mastering is sub-par if you care for such things ( meaning vocal samples might overlap the drums at times ). And lastly, I became aware early on that on the original track, the length of all vocals and piano stabs are determined by the duration of a key press for each sample ( which samplers in 1988 probably only allowed samples to revert back to the beginning by default also ). DAWs now allow isolating specific sections of each sample wherever needed so I was able to be really liberal with them. Nonetheless, absolutely all vocal sample patterns have been recreated from scratch, even if they end up sounding exactly like the original track. It can be noticed by comparing, say, the piano stabs patterns with the ones from the original track during those vocal patterns ( or more evidently by looking at the FL Studio file ).
