Entry for the MIDI BOYZ contest!

Jon Eks - Alien Sounds (9): I chose this sample for being very unique! There was lots of cool sounds in this one sample so I chopped it up and used it as a percussion one shot I used to start my track off with. 

Umru - Verzache saying yo : This sample was very cool and with a little bit of processing and pitched up 12 semitones I was able to tie this one sound into the whole track as a chant type of sample in both intro, first and second drop. 

Umru - Cough hi : I needed a new sound to introduce my wonky second drop, so I went digging through the midi boyz sample pack and found this gem. It's just a little breath sound and with some reverb and delay this sound worked perfectly as my transition sound. 

Jon Eks - Alien Sounds (6) : This sample on its own has so much going on it stands alone on its own great. I hardly changed to sample. It is used first under the riser for the second drop and just has the volume fading in gradually. I also used this sample for the second drops main lead. I found rhythmic sections I liked, I copied and pasted them together, Added some sidechaining to my kick and did pitch bend automation. The result was great fun and painless.

Umru - Somebody accurately describing my beats : Fire! I loved this sample but wanted to really make it different so I stretched it out super long and put a crazy delay effect I like to do on my vocals. Also this vocal hit was resampled and cut up and used as a sort of laser blap sound towards the end of the song.
