Beyond content to release this album to y’all, this project lead me through times of torment and disbelief and helped me grow and develop through a regretful time, each song describes a different moment within my life in the past years that may have been difficult but can be prospered through, i appreciate everyone and anyone that’s taught me life could be worth way more than perceived and anyone else can do the same

Scared Of Never

Why is that guy Maverick walking through townships, in the heat, day after day with a monkey on his back?
A bit of story telling. Velvet Underground meets Modern Lovers meets Zambia. The middle part is inspired by southern Zambia gospel choirs. The outro resembles a lousy Kalindula band, you can find in bars and pubs in hot & sweaty Livingstone.
With respect to the Zambian people - a fantastic country - I hope a little bit of the Bemba part is pronounced well enough, I did practice...

Maverick (with a monkey on his back)

The "Zhayron" project, a band with a progressive/metalcore sound, was born in 2011. It performs in dozens of events in Sicily, gathering ever greater acclaim which pushes the band to undertake the recording of its first self-produced EP. Unfortunately, the project was not completed due to various lineup changes which blocked the production and creative process. In the summer of 2022 Luca Talluto (vocals) and Francesco “Master” Lombardo (lead guitar) take up the project again, finding a stable lineup with the entry of Daniele Motisi (rhythm guitar), Marco Vaccaro (bass) and Elio Lao (drums) and recording the EP "A New Horizon" at the "Red Master Records" recording studio in Palermo.
