We were transformed, pupated, and reborn during the time cycles elapsing. By now we understand that we are one with infinite Nature, and music, dance is our universal language.

Rhythms and sounds have been telling stories since ancient times, conveying personal emotions. A good song drives away fear, cheers you up, and brings people closer together. There is magical light in good music…

The songs selected for this compilation are ‘Light Signals’, which invite you to our homeland, Csobánkapuszta. The performers featured here met for the first time at this special location, and they still come back to the SUN festival every summer to perform and relax.

Now, in this secluded, wildly romantic valley, a music studio for the SUN community is being built, which will be a creative workshop for talented young artists, and which will debut as a non-profit music label with this triple-disc-length selection of quality music. The album also features the two winner tracks of our international remix competition.

We are grateful that we could put together such an amazing selection of music. We look forward to starting the work in the studio next summer. Thank you to everyone who supported us and believed in our dreams!

The revenue from this publication will go entirely to the artists, and the copyrights of the tracks will remain the property of their creators. Although this project is non-profit, we happily accept donations for our operation.

Vertex is Slobodan Gacesa (aka Merlin) from Serbia. 

It all started back in 2008, when two friends, Nikola Kozic (ZYCE) and Slobodan Gacesa (MERLIN) joined forces to create something new on the scene - a combination of psytrance and chillout - and Vertex was born.

With Slobodan's knowledge in playing piano, harmonies and in general musical theory and Nikola's widely known expertise in music production and sound design, this project represents beautiful blend of deep, progressive, psy-trance, ethnic and ambient motives, with wide spectrum of diverse themes and sounds. 

Debut album under the name "OCEAN", which represented the element of water, was released for TesseracTstudio records in 2010. After a great success of "OCEAN", dynamic duo continues the journey and two years after delivers the second album with symbolic name "EARTH", which represented element of earth and had a great success on most of the major psy trance charts. 

It inspired many music producers and therefore already next year (2013) album under name of "EARTH remixes" was released on TesseracTstudio, containing remixes done by names such as Suduaya, Human Element, Nerso, Aquafeel and more.

So far besides albums, there were more then 15 EP's and Singles released for some of the biggest records labels in the scene and Vertex had been selected on more than 30 VA compilations worldwide!

Vertex's collaboration track with Pion called "Sunrise Tonic" achieved a great success and became a massive hit, even being remixed by legendary Liquid Soul and released on Perfecto records by Paul Oakenfold. It was selected as official track of famous OZORA festival in 2011.

Over the years, Vertex has developed a unique and recognizable sound on the scene, known by beautiful melodies, atmospheres, harmonies and divergent spectrum of sounds. It is considered to be one of the most innovative projects on progressive & psy trance scene, often combining what is considered impossible.

After the years of collaboration and 2 studio albums, Slobodan took the lead and in 2017 friends decided to split, resulting in Vertex being a solo project of Slobodan.

Slobodan is at the moment in the process of making the 3rd studio album, which will have association with the element of... FIRE! Album will be released by the end of the year 2019.
