For the second edition of the Zanderhythm Sunsets there is my mate Vertical67, who was also part of the legendary Various Vegetables crew which threw parties in Berlin around alternative electronic music from 2012-2014. Vertical67 keeps releasing great music since his first LP "Reflect", which came out on the Irish Acroplane Recordings in 2008. He released records with Brokntoys, Lunar Disko, 100% Silk, Magic Waves and on his own label Vortex Traks, which he co-runs with Naks. There was also a tape for Zanderhythm as "The Coloured Chaos". He is really prolific and a top quality music maker, so don't forget to check out his recent releases on Eudemonia, Pulse Drift Recordings and Brokntoys. For this mix he pulled out mostly ambientish musix by artist which are – at least to me – more known for some upbeat stuff, some good finds in there.

With so many superb releases on labels like brokntoys, Mechatronica and his imprint Vortex Traks, ran by him and his partner in crime Naks, we felt like Thomas would be the perfect addition to our roster. From soothing electronica to cutting edge electro, Vertical67’s sound can only be defined by pure love for synthesizers and drum machines and has always stayed incredibly versatile and fresh. The perfect example is his 2021 EP ‘The Early Hours’ released on eudemonia, which takes you on a full-length exploration of the mind of the musician and creates the perfect balance between numerous genres.

German producer Vertical67 debuts on Lunar Disko Records, with a 10" consisting of 3 deep & dreamy tracks, crafted somewhere in Berlin. The uplifting 'In Space' covers the A-side with bright and protruding soundscapes, glistening like stars in a far away galaxy. The B-side opens up with 'Craic Memories', portraying a house groove throughout, yet still retaining an electro mood amongst some delicate and twinkling melodies. Finishing up the EP is the affectionate 'Mutuality', displaying adept drum programming alongside a lush female voice which rises sporadically above dreamy melancholic sounds and a soft brooding vox...
