The 'Into The Distance' original leads the release off and immediately creates a big sonic presence. The melding of Sekuential and Verve's styles makes for a lethal combination with strong analog elements and pristinely tailored melodies. Following a first act filled with vibrant rhythms and electric lines the main breakdown commences as a section of epic stabs slowly trails away as a sequence of filtered electronics pushes the tension higher. Reaching a feverous peak the sonic collage eventually drops out to reveal the meaty groove for what is sure to be a magical dance floor moment.

Kieran Krohn under his Verve production alter ego is no stranger to the modern music industry. An acute understanding of the modern A&R process has been realised at the sharp end of the music industry before becoming label manager of his own FutureForm imprint. On the flipside of the coin, Verve continues to impress with a stream of high calibre original and remix production work for the underground music industry's leading imprints. Combining fundamental elements of minimal, tech and techno "fused together in progressive arrangements" the Australian's sound has continued to mature through his original and remix work for Lowbit, Stripped and Wasabi.

A regular on Particles with his remixes of Dapple Apple, Exoplanet and Ferdy, the original track "Fusion" represented a highlight with remixes from Inkfish and Danny Bonnici. A pair of remixes for Kobana and Tvardovsky represent Verve's outstanding work for Proton Music thus far and it is with great pleasure that we now welcome him back for a third remix. Taking a deep and intelligent approach to his craft, the Verve remix of "Signal" sees Krohn carefully use elements from the original fused with a raft of additional production material to create a work of skill and intrigue. Sobota's hypnotic riff maintains a constant thread while freeform melodic phrasing creates additional layers of texture and contemplation in a work that illustrates Verve's elegant approach.

2011 proved to be a breakthrough year for Australian, Kieran Krohn. Producing under his Verve moniker, he quickly established himself as one of the progressive nubreeds to watch with infectious rhythms and emotive melodies omnipresent in his work for the likes of Indigo, Lowbit and Stereo Paradise. 2012 brought Verve to Particles with his fizzing, effervescent "Fusion" on the "Spring Particles" compilation and the groove laden remix of Kobana's "Move Back" in the autumn. The former track is also set for its own full release in 2013. Now, turning his remix talent to Exoplanet, Verve treats us to a very special interpretation of "The Planetarium". A beautifully constructed rhythmic bed ensures a head-shaking groove is present throughout, while the careful interplay of original track components, combined with new production material, produces a work full of considered and varied excellence. Verve is certainly an artist to watch in 2013.
