In Hour 2 it's Red Axes, who have a well-established presence on the outlandish fringes of experimental, alternative and dance music. The celebrated Israeli duo make a surprise left-turn onto Phantasy with a three-track 12”, ‘Sipoor’, following on from last year’s self-released LP, ‘The Beach Goths’. ‘Sipoor’ is released on 22nd June and they had this to say about their mix;
"Music for fisherman and fisherman's friends."

He knows a lot about music and has developed a wealth of knowledge whilst managing one of the most interesting and diverse music blogs in recent times.

Solid Steel (5th December) In Hour 1 it's Mark Pritchard and The Milky Man who have been pals for 15+ yrs, having met through a pair of beautiful mutual friends. A lot of music has been shared between these two over that time. Mark Pritchard lives and records in Sydney making records for Warp Records. He produced this mix after a few long skype calls with Milky, where they got the track listing tight and worked out where to edit and whatnot. A mix full of old, new and one day to be released favourites, put together with the Solid Steel dons in mind. Additional vocal drops by Lolina and ASH. Music featured in the mix includes tracks from Raymond Scott, Bibio, Boran Tribe, Circadian Rhythms, Robert Wyatt, Horace Tapscott and an unreleased track by Mark Pritchard.

SALLAD EGG is the alias of Sally Evans. Don't ask her where the name came from she can't really remember. Ms EGG is based in London where she hosts regular club nights under the name ŒUF. She is a long term vocalist and collaborator with the musician Zeta Zeta and a member of the Valley Sound Records family. Two tracks from the VSR discography bookend this mix. Have a nice one.

"At the start of 2019, a dear friend invited me to the house of Lana Turner, the co-founder and chair of The Literary Society, a New York City book discussion group founded in 1982 and based in Harlem. At dinner Miss Turner spoke about the practice of writing to oneself, particularly a letter or postcard while traveling, a way to check-in, reflect, remind.  

I wrote this long letter on a short piece of paper to remember my first trip to Japan, particularly a very cleansing & much needed hike that I took in Atsumi Onsen - Tsuruoka, Yamagata.

This mix is dedicated to my aforementioned dear friend, Sir Jacobs."

Trenton Chase is the alias of Athens-based producer Demitri Kokkinakos, a moniker for his experiments with synthesis, drum machines and live recording. 

Alongside friend Tsampikos Fronas AKA June, he runs June Records, a space for the synth-laced electronics that has been a home for his and June's own releases, as well as their production partnership under the guise of Manie Sans Délire. 

We got him on board for this week's Ransom Note mix which glides through coldwave sounds and the metallic synths that are central to his own productions.

We are very pleased to bring you the latest episode of the Bside Incoming series, this time from one of Amsterdam’s most exciting DJs and most dedicated selectors: Victor Crézee.

Rising through the ranks as a prodigious teenage Hip-Hop DJ under the name Lil’ Vic, he has since outgrown the Lil’ and established himself as a giant of the game. 
A truly versatile disk jockey with a diverse array of influences, always eager to explore the more peculiar corners of music. Renowned among his Amsterdam audiences for an ability to create a flawless flow of vibration, transforming disparate moods into a seamless soundscape. 

Vic is a true veteran of the Amsterdam scene and a familiar face at all the most important music institutions including the Dekmantel Selectors and Lente Kabinet festivals.
He’s held down many residencies across the city, culminating with his current parties at Garage Noord.
With regular showcases of his collection on his monthly NTS and Redlight Radio appearances. It is with great pleasure that we can bring you a Victor Crezée broadcast of the Bside variety.

Expect eerie underground sounds, a journey through the leftfield, and the kind of deep pulsating beats that provide the foundation of his remarkable reputation.

It's Monday again. At least we think it is... The days and nights have been seemingly blurring into one over the last few months. Especially if you've spent your Sunday night parked up at some strangers house, who now happens to be your new best mate, blissfully talking about the meaning of life and the trick to making a perfect poached egg.

Finding himself in many a Sunday-cum-Monday escapade, Ibiza-based DJ Mark Broadbent is the perfect man to sountrack the start of the new week. As part of The Brothers Grim, alongside Andrew Livesey, you'll likely find him holding down residencies at some of the island's more progressive music spots like Hostel La Torre and Pikes, whilst by day he runs a guest house overlooking Ibiza Town harbour.

His mix for us meanders through an hour and a half of sounds perfect for that Sunday/Monday limbo, accompanied by an interview about life on the white isle...

My friend Gabriel interviewed the half god Rother for Tidal. https://bit.ly/2DpIsLp And it made me think of this mix i recorded in another life... Copied from the growing bin blog Sunday, June 15, 2008: "The two of my turntables didn't spin at the same time for ages ... ... After finding some lovely LPs on the fleamarket yesterday morning something bit me and I blew of the dust of the left MarkII. In the beginning it wasn't working too well, but after a few more minutes I was in it and it was fun. It's LIKE CYCLING - once you got it ......... so here's something like a Megamix of my favourite Michael Rother jams." 
WELL... the sound quality is not really up to todays standards (where crackle meets encoding fractals...) nor the mixing technique (screw the pin until it's glowing). It was something that I just did - without thinking much. Rather with drinking much. ENJOY anyway!
