Premiere: Adroit - The Catcher [MICR009]

Doubtingthomas drops a deep and techy release with stripped-back grooves via Canadian record label Suleiman.

Based in France, Doubtingthomas is known for his tracks and remixes on highly respected record labels ranging from Burnski's Constant Sound to Butane's Little Helpers, and he also runs his own imprint called The Promises.

Internationally respected as both a producer and DJ, Doubtingthomas has played sets at clubs and festivals in locations ranging from Washington in America to Berlin in Germany. His immersive style is a hypnotising blend of dynamic percussion and intricate synth lines.

"Stop for a Minute" opens the release with shuffling percussion and a bumping bassline that's rich with sub-bass. Dubby chords fill the track with lush tones and swelling synths that are reminiscent of an air raid siren that create dramatic tension.

"Clockwork" is a mesmerising track that orientates around a fluttering arpeggio line and techy percussion. Abrupt textures burst forth from the speaker to create striking atmospherics that contrast with the tranquil flow of the melody.

"Syncopation 1992" has gliding pads that create a tranquil atmosphere, which is cut by crisp percussion and haunting vocal textures that have soulful undertones. Delicate piano chords add jazz influence to this moody cut of soothing deep house.

Broken Techno/Electronica label Theoretical Rhythms is back with another vinyl release. This time it is a 4-track compilation EP Confessions. Featuring a carefully curated selection of tracks from diverse artists, "Confessions" takes you on a journey through emotions, melodies, and introspective narratives. Each track serves as a musical confession, laying bare the artist's innermost thoughts and experiences. The compilation opens with Varna's own Virtually J who masterfully sets the tone for the entire collection with his composition. From there, listeners are guided through a sonic landscape that seamlessly blends genres, showcasing the rich tapestry of musical expression. London duo Getae are showcasing their talent with the dance floor filler "Stumble" and Getsu opens the door to another dimension with his story "Otklonenie". With its minimal composition, broken beats and various effects Getsu invites us to divert from our path and experience another world. The EP concludes with Nickel Eye's "Lodi", a story that starts on a darker side with repetitive rhythm to transform to a jazz epos.

There was plenty to eat at the neighbourhood club last night. Thanks to prying ears passing the night searching for something stronger, their noteworthy discussion is slowly turning into the dawn and a thin stream of Liberian coffee.

– Needle, get some more coffee. I can't get myself to wake up.
– Sure thing, Plate. We had a lot of fun!
– Woelk drove me crazy! That guy knows how to read the room.
– For sure, he does. He even gave me his record.
– I must have been so drunk I can't remember. Put it on!

Texture loops are always a good thing. This early Sunday wake-up call was no exception. The monitors were pouring out a volumetric wave that turned the room into an immense outer space. This is what travelling through the universe of sound looks like.

MUD TRAX, new to the MixCult Records gang, shows off its first big thing, Kirill Matveev - Please Convince Me EP. This bold 4-song EP calls all dancers and tune lovers to jump into a mix-up of beats that dare to change modern electric tunes.

Kirill Matveev's "Never Losing That Track" (A1) gets a boost from Havantepe, mixing thick bass vibes with sharp hits that set the dance floor on fire with zest and style. The remix shows how to blend old-school cool with new-school rules without a hitch.

A2 gives us Kirill Matveev's "Pegasus & Sour Faces (In the Zoo)», a piece that really sets a feel-heavy vibe. The blend of old tribe beats with sleek new flows makes a spellbinding beat that pulls you in, makes you move, and sends you on an upbeat mood trip. A burst of TB-303 tune that jumps in adds a bold kick to the song, making it a hit on the EP. For Kirill Matveev, this track, “Pegasus,” keeps coming back in different sets as he keeps building on an idea that's always growing.

After Caposile, at the peak of his growth, now consecrate as one of the most sought and removed clubs in the Italian and world undergoing circuit, is back to release high level music, returning to pressing on vinyl in its acclaimed label the second volume of “The Sound of Garden”.

Spring 2024 deserved a release made by an exceptional cast, it will be always divided in to parts, both 12”, and it will include an incredible team of artists led by the visionary and immortal master Alex Neri, the local phenomenon known for his productions in Slow Life and Altered Circuits: Paolo Mosca, our family members and residents Twineffect and Maggio, the duo Francesco Maddalena and Manuel De Lorenzi, Lee Burton, Jamahr, Franko Lopez and Matteo Point.

A perfect mix of artists who strongly believe in the club and in what we transmit as an experience to live, these tracks are explosiveness, elegance, magnetism, each with a different facet of house music: progressive, balearic, electro, acid, this double vinyl contains everything that the dancefloor requires and it is a transposition into music of the current vibe that can be felt at After Caposile’s garden.

In the second volume Lee Burton opens the dance with his "Amino", a track that is already being played in different clubs and is enjoying great success for its frankness and its killer bass line. An accurate mix of acid house that is completed with a serious and overbearing bass that leaves no room for doubt, definitely a piece to have in your bag in the key moments of your set.

"Rolling Phunk" completes the first side of the second volume in full Maggio style, the resident artist returns to make us dance with his new work, a breath of energetic house, also to be used in the peak moments of the party.

“Lost in Act” by Jamahr and Franko Lopez opens the last side with determination, an acid line of 303 makes the direction of the track clear, thus confirming itself as another dynamic and powerful track which together with the others make the second Volume a blast of charge.

Last, but not least, Matteo Point also lands on Caposile Music with his "Great Weekend", where he shows us his skills in melodic and hypnotic journeys thus creating a perfect closing of this splendid album with a meditation on interior of electronic sounds.

After Caposile thus confirms itself once again in constant evolution, with an output full of new talents and sacred monsters and a European tour that continues to expand their party concept in the most important clubbing realities and the biggest festivals.

Both the first and second volumes will be released this May, ready to bring us a breath of joy and madness this summer.
