PREMIERE: Pattern Tusk - Procrastination Station [MICR011]

JRD016 is an exciting release featuring two original tracks by seasoned Swedish producer Chris Llopis, showcasing over 25 years of production experience in his refined compositions. The originals create a rich, melodic atmosphere that draws listeners in with depth and mood. Adding a fresh twist, Fedo’s remix brings a playful, atmospheric feel, while Minube amps up the energy with a bold, rhythmic reinterpretation.

The second offering from Mud Trax, a division of MixCult Records is a compilation to remember.

With Dub Tech laid out in all its many forms and moods by a dynamic assortment of rhythms, it is nothing less than exquisitely fresh pop manipulative.The album features contributions from Kirill Matveev, Ataneus, Genning and Etzu Mahkayah. With an electrifying mix of dub's sprawling scope and acid's driving rhythm, even a record that pushes sound the way this one does can come off totally funky.

Kirill Matveev & Wiklauri's Ioli (Kirill's Version) makes for a promising opening, melding into deep dub its ethos of acid, a psychedelic blend that touches the nerves of those who love to dance. Ataneus takes it further on A2 with Napolitaner, a track that is like nothing else: dense, dub-coloured layers of sound, which create a steadily seductive momentum able to steal listeners away into temporal plunge.

On the other side, B1's Red Lights by Genning is at once a punchy piece and a dancefloor phalanx of sound. A work meticulously sculpted by the speakers, yet redolent with natural energy-Geistgemäss. The journey is brought to a close by Etzu Mahkayah's Cs-137 on B2, hypnotic grooves offering equal parts reflectivity and pumping energy.

Taken together these tracks provide an experience that is euphoric yet absorbing, each not only embodying Dub Tech but also pushing it in new directions.

ROMEP055 presents Kikiscoming EP by Martin Deen, a deliberation into the roots of human dances, where minimalism meets introspection and the essence of human nature. This release takes you to a mental plane, with hypnotic basslines and subtle rhythms that evoke solitude and contemplation.

Included in the package is a remix by Sebasstian, who adds his own underground edge to the title track, intensifying its dark and atmospheric vibe.

Caesura Records begins their journey through the minimal flavours of functional, colorful house music, with an emphasis on rich melody patterns, natural grooves and catchy basslines.

Dutch artist Jos Lok delivers a nostalgic, rhythmic four-track EP with warm chords, playful melodies, glitched out percussion and trippy vocals. The A side starts with Walco, a highly swung bassline-driven heater, moving into ThenWhen, a beautifully arranged house track with an intensely satisfying build up.

The B side begins with This Cap, unfurling a bassline that makes liberal use of sub-bass and negative space. Waterdruppels closes out the EP, with a playful earworm melody and a positive vibe unique to Jos Lok’s music. All four tracks are club ready, appropriate for any hour of a party.
